Some signs of stagnant energy include a loss of creativity, increased feelings of anxiety, feeling disconnected from yourself and others, feeling a lack of motivation, a loss of self-confidence, and negative feelings towards the people around you. Stagnant energy can come from many different sources such as a lack of sleep, work stress, relationship issues, or a lack of meaning in your life. Stagnant energy can happen to anyone at any age. If you feel like your energy has been low for some time and you can't pinpoint the cause, it's likely due to stagnant energy.

Start your Day with a Mindful Morning Ritual

When we start our days off with a sense of purpose, it sets us up to have a more positive outlook for the rest of the day. We don't want to start out with negativity because we've already got enough of that inside of us! Start your morning off with a positive outlook and an energizing morning ritual. A personal list of strategic (but petite) rituals can help to fight fatigue and restore balance throughout the day. This could be as simple as going for a walk outside, meditating, or writing your thoughts down. When we start our days with positive energy, it sets up a great flow for the rest of the day and uplifts our mood for greater wellbeing as we navigate particularly loaded days.

Sometimes stagnant energy comes from a lack of change or challenge in our lives. When we are experiencing too little or no change in our lives, our energy becomes stagnant. To shake things up in your life and get your energy flowing again, try adding some new challenges to your days. This could be as simple as taking a new route to work, stepping out of your comfort zone, or trying a new hobby. Having these new challenges in our lives helps us grow and allows us to see new parts of ourselves. Incorporating a mindful morning routine can serve us as a solid foundation that gives us strength to take more steps out of our comfort zones during the day. As we know we can always return to our safe space the next day.  

Get your energy moving with the power of warmth

Warmth is one of the simplest ways to shift stagnant energy. Getting your energy moving and circulating again using warmth can be as simple as taking a warm bath, going for a walk outside in the sun or using the moon-pad. Warming your body up naturally can help circulate your energy and increase your focus.

We lose touch with what we love, who we are and what makes us happy.

We all have passions and pastimes that used to excite us and make us feel like the most positive version of ourselves. When our energy is flowing, this is when we feel most like ourselves.
